The default options on the math/py-numpy port slowed it down. Francois Tigeot noticed, and committed a change that takes advantage of all processors. Read his note to users@ for details.

What’s the difference between “dports” and “DeltaPorts”?
I notice the commit from Francois above links to DeltaPorts inside of Dports.

i’m confused. i thought dports was good enough to work on dbsd.
wasn’t that the case? did something change?
Nothing changed; it’s always been “pre-processed” this way. That way, any assumptions about FreeBSD-specific code can be adjusted.
