The user who posted that reddit post about pkg, systemd, and corporate and governmental takeover, also deleted their account. While I completely disagree on the BSD side, I completely agree on the GNU/Linux systemd Gnome Redhat and Canonical side. I think he has quite a few misconceptions about pkgng that should be cleared up though. Also, notice how people’s only objections to him were on the BSD front, no one countered him on systemd. I think it’s clear that there is still strong objection to it.
Does anyone else see the irony when Linux users complain that thanks to systemd their operating systems are suddenly poorly designed and overly complex?
