BSDNow 220: Opening ZFS in 2017

I’m a bit late linking to the new BSDNow episode, “Opening ZFS in 2017“, but here it is.  You can guess at least one of the topics covered from the title.

BSDNow 219: We love the ARC

This week’s BSDNow has no interview, but goes into in-depth explanations of ZFS caching, man page reading, and more – so there’s lots to keep you busy, just in the show description.

This week’s BSDNow talks about the Krack Attack, new releases for a number of BSDs, recent conventions, and really just everything.

BSDNow 217: Your Questions, part 2

This week’s BSDNow turns the tables, and the interviewer is you.  Well, viewer questions for the staff, specifically.  There’s also the usual news summaries.

BSDNow 215: Turning FreeBSD up to 100 Gbps

There’s no in-reference in this week’s BSDNow, but I think they already did the “it goes to 11” reference.  Among other news items, they’ve caught ClonOS, which I did not know about.

BSDNow 214: The history of man, kind

BSDNow 214 has no interview, but does get into a convention report and a number of other topics, including the history of man pages.  Is there a help format that has lasted as long as man pages?  I don’t think so.

BSDNow 213: The French CONnection

BSDNow 213 talks about the just-finished EuroBSDCon, and vBSDCon and other things.  The episode 213 web page links to Youtube videos of all the talks, so there’s your evening schedule, filled.

BSDNow 212: The Solaris Eclipse

BSDNow episode 212 is out and I’m going to link it especially because I’ve been at work instead of posting like normal.  Not surprisingly, it talks about the demise of Solaris and about vBSDCon and (links to videos from) BSDCan.

BSDNow 211: It’s HAMMER2 Time!

BSDNow episode 211 is up – you can guess at least one of the topics, I’m sure.  There’s also an interview of FreeBSD Foundation co-ops – which is neat, because I didn’t realize the Foundation had co-ops.

BSDNow 208: Faces of Open Source

No interview this week, but BSDNow 208 notes a certain recent software release and also links to something I’ve always wanted to see – a BSD games site.  It’s OpenBSD oriented, but it probably applies pretty evenly across all the BSDs.

BSDNow 207: Bridge over the river Cam

This week’s BSDNow talks about the recent BSD convention in Cambridge (which I somehow did not know about until afterwards), plus lots of other talk, and a link to this entertaining terminal emulator.
