Aaron LI has added openresolv to DragonFly. According to the commit message, this is for dhcpcd(8) support later. It’s added as resolvconf(8), needed for IPv6 DHCP support and a replacement for rtsold(8).

It is the forthcoming dhcpcd(8) that will replace both dhclient(8) and rtsold(8).
Please make very clear and obvious documentation about how to work with the new system because some setups, like any Vultr VPS require configuration using rtsold and this will break any of those setups.
Don’t worry. We’ll take the migration from rtsold(8) to dhcpcd(8) into account. NetBSD has already done such a migration, and I’ll check with that.
