The bug linked below, as well as the recent bug found where Hammer was writing pages 2x to the file systems is apreally concerning

If you read all the way through that article, you’ll notice that while the article is new, the bug was diagnosed last fall, and immediately squashed. So, it doesn’t really affect you unless you installed DragonFly 4.6.0 in late August 2016 and then never updated again.
