  1. What sephe added there was support for reading the temperature sensor for the _CPU package_ (which some CPUs offer), opposed to _per core_ sensors, support for which we already had for a long time.

  2. Memory temperature monitoring is very interesting. For long time it was not really important, but last years there is more and more going on in memory, so temparature monitoring of memory banks will be about as important as cpu temperatur monitoring. Though it is not very common to see someone keeping the memory temperature in sight.
