This page, Varialus et Anisoptera, set up by… I’m not sure of the real name but it’s ‘varialus’ on IRC – has a detailed description of the DragonFly install process and installation of MATE, plus extra notes. I always find these sorts of cheatsheets entertaining.

Thanks for the shout out!
I managed to install some other window managers and desktop environments, but before I managed to get the instructions for them cleaned up and wiki formatted, the Wingo window manager grew on me so much that I no longer felt like going back to finish them.
Then I got started on a big Go programming project that is still half under wraps and programming is a whole lot more fun than writing cheatsheets, so for now most of my updates will be to just keep my development environment setup instructions up to date from start to finish.
That page has a bit of old cruft and I still intend to clean it up, eventually.
