  1. DMAR == DMA Remapping ;) Its part of the IOMMU hardware to do its job some efficiently..
    In good implementations you can find the RMRRS == Reserved Memory Region Reporting Structure which creates lots of problems in BIOS’s..

    In any case you need DMAR support to properly use the Intel VT-d extensions for hypervisors.
