  1. Get one. I bought a 4GB version not too long ago and I’m loving it so far.

  2. If half the stuff doesn’t work, then what’s the point? Seems like half the drivers are beta and stuff like that. I’d totally get one if everything was supported (including the webam – an area where there’s very little support under BSD) and in the base system.

  3. I own an Asus Eee-pc 900 (16GB SSD, CPU Celeron)
I have managed till now to install several linux distros, FreeBSD and PC-BSD.
In linux distros, some are exclusive for Asus Eee PC, like Eeedora etc.

About BSD i have managed to install FreeBSD 7.0 and PC-BSD 7.0 using UNetbootin that you can find here http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/

Wireless, ethernet, webcam is not working on FreeBSD, but using the guide you mentioned before you can make Wireless working by recompiling kernel with madwifi driver.
Personally, since wireless is working i don’t mind if Camera or Ethernet don’t.

About PC-BSD, it was an easy and fast installation, same as FreeBSD here too but wireless is working, you don’t need to compile anything.
I haven’t tested it very much cause PC-BSD is using KDE window manager KWin and it makes it a little slow, so i have reinstalled FreeBSD 7.0
