md5 and sha512 are the same file (it&#039;s hardlinked as mentioned).
If you execute it as &quot;md5&quot;,  you get md5 output.  If you execute it as &quot;sha512&quot; you get sha functionally.

Look at every binutils, compiler and ld program.  They are all hardlinked to the same program.  Same thing.]]></description>
