Are you asking or is that a quote of someone else asking? If you personally are asking the problem is someone went to port what they thought was a small tool (GNU sort) but found out the job wasn&#039;t small because of all the dependencies that are required to build it. There&#039;s a lot of autoconf hate out there (https://www.varnish-cache.org/docs/2.1/phk/autocrap.html , https://github.com/axboe/fio/blob/fio-2.13/configure ) but its alternatives (cmake, waf, scons etc.) apparently aren&#039;t perfect either.]]></description>
