It&#039;s not about EFI, it&#039;s about GUID partition table itself, one which is quite useful even if you don&#039;t use EFI on your system. One which has several advantages over the old MBR type.

Sure, if this was the reason. But if it is not limited to that? Disks are growing, MBR is nearing its limitations. How long will it take before it becomes a real problem? One cannot know, but sure enough that will be a bit late to start thinking about it.]]></description>
