My second reaction is to look at the 3 laptops in the room with me that can’t quite boot any BSD flavor, and change my mind.’

Well of course there are two sides. If everyone only buys laptops that DragonFly runs perfectly on, we won’t be notified about breakage on different laptops anymore. :)

And if they did, would the profit margin be enough to make it worthwhile – especially if they were trying to sell something that’s already heavily discounted through a large number of other retailers?

they could sell very cheap Everex gBooks instead of military grade Lamborghinis or iDot-PC1 (VIA C7-D) systems.
